Month in Review

We have had such a fun and busy December. First, we started out the month with a Family Night at Temple Square. Noah loved the lights and especially seeing the statue of Christ. He pulled out his "Johnsonness" as he hid behind the garbage can to avoid getting his picture taken...stinker!!

We then visted Santa at the Gateway where Noah, Abby, and Jaxyn were able to ask Santa for everything they wanted to get for Christmas! Then...Shelb and I proceeded to pay way to much for a horrible picture taken by the elf! Which I did not post.

Finally...it was Christmas Eve...Noah chanted "its Christmas Eve" ALL DAY LONG. He was a bit excited! We headed up to my dad's house for our Christmas Eve party. We ate Navajo tacos and opened presents. Everyone had a great time. Grandma made all of the kids darling pjs and pillowcases to match...I can't believe that she did it for 12 grandkids!! WOW...nice work Sandy!(We missed you Nightingales and Nicols!!)

Christmas Noah couldn't wait! He was in our room at 4:30am! A little early for me! He finally went back to sleep and then I had to wake him up to get thing moving. Santa brought him a Light Saber...he was so thrilled!! Cameron loved the boxes and paper...who needs toys!!

Then we headed over to the Johnson's for a great breakfast...and you guessed it...more presents! Noah was in heaven! We had such a great day. We were very blessed in more ways than anyone can even imagine! (Thanks Santa and his Elves!! ) We are lucky to be able to spend the holidays with such close family and friends. I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season!

(Kind of pathetic that the only picture of our little family...not one of us are looking at the camera! Oh well!!!)

Boys Night Out

Last week Noah and Ben had a "boys night out". Noah had such a good time. Ben took him to see a Jazz Game where he was able to eat a whole tub of popcorn and guzzle a good old fashion Root Beer! Then they stopped by Tucano's to see mom hard at work and eat some good food! Noah felt like such a big boy and still can't stop talking about his night out with Dad!!

Pilgrams and Indians

Yesterday at preschool Noah learned about the Pilgrams and Indians...well I am assuming anyway...when I asked him what he learned he said that he didn't know then I asked him if they learned about the Indians he said he didn't think so. So, my next question to him was "well why are you dressed like an Indian then?" His answer..."because Miss Katie wanted me to"! Fair enough...he didn't learn anything but he sure looked dang cute in his Indian get up!!

Tribute Tuesday....

Today I am thankful for many things...one of them being the best music group in the world...U2! Thank you U2 for making my drive to work at 5:30am a little more bearable!!!
I am thankful for the walking trail right by my office and the beautiful weather outside that made it a perfect day for a little needed excersize.
I am grateful for a hubby willing to be home with the kids today and the cute little "I love you mom" on the other end of the phone line to help me make it through my long day at work!!

Six Quirks....

Yvette this is for you....
#1 - I hate cupboard doors being left open. Ben and my sister Amy find it funny to open all the cupboard doors in my kitchen and then sit in the family room and see how long it takes for me to notice…AHHH it drives me crazy!

#2 - I cannot leave the house without makeup on, no matter where I am going...cursed with the redhead skin and very self conscious!

#3 - I tend to end phone calls really fast and sometimes when I hang up I wonder if the person was really done talking...not sure why I do it...I am not very good with phone conversations!

#4 - When I sleep I like to put my hand between ben's hip and the mattress...I guess it makes me feel more secure!

#5 - Only on rare occasion can I take a nice long bath...I get bored in the tub and would rather take a shower!

#6 - I hate to get ready for bed...it takes WAY too long!
Well..that is it...and to read about only a few of my quirks I realize what a weirdo I am!! Hope you had a good little laugh!

Noah - 4months Cameron - 4months

So to me my boys don't really look alike until Cameron is asleep...and then I completely see Noah in him...it is crazy how much they look alike when I compare pictures of them at the same age...how fun! They are too cute if I do say so myself!

Some People Carve...

We "Mr. Potato Head"!

Last year my mother in law bought the kids Mr. Potato Head for pumpkins. We had so much fun with it so we were really excited to pull it out again this year...well, Noah's wonderful Grandma got him another one so we have 2!!(Thanks Kath!) Noah loves taking the pieces out and putting them back together...it keeps him busy forever! I do need to get a pumpkin for he and Ben to carve...Noah needs to experience that for himself!!

(Thankful For...Family)

I know I have been a big slacker when it comes to my blog these days. I believe I have been feeling sorry for myself lately and felt that I had nothing good to write about. I guess i just needed a reminder of what is truely important! A very good friend of mine said something to me a week or so ago that really hit me and made me realize that I need to change my attitude about a lot of things...she said that she was going to be positive about everything and good will come her way! How true is that! Tonight Ben was able to be home...for once...and we took the boys to a .50 movie (can't really beat that!) and to a fine dining dinner experience at the mall food court. We had such a good time. I have been so consumed these past weeks with work and other distractions that I feel I have put what is really important...my family...on the back burner. Tonight I laid with both my boys as they feel asleep and was overwhelmed with gratitude. I love them so much and I am so blessed to have them here with me! Starting today I am going to start looking for the good in all and be grateful for what I have! I am a very lucky girl.

REALLY...did I just do that???

The other night I was going through my camera, deleating pictures that I didn't want to keep, when all of the sudden "NO IMAGES" showed up on the screen! AHHH...I cannot believe I deleated every picture on there. So, sorry peeps, no pictures of all of the fun things we have done in the past 2 months. I know, you are all terribly sad about the whole thing so lets cry about it together and then move on!!! I AM SO MAD AT MYSELF!!!!

My Little Guy is Offically Big!

Tuesday Sept 2nd Noah started preschool! It is so hard for me to believe that he is old enough to go to school! He absolutly loves it! He is lucky enough to be in the same class with his 2 cousins, Erin and Abby, and his little buddy Kaden(the poor teacher has her hands full with these 2 boys!). Thank you Miss Katie for all of your hard work! You do a great job!! (I have a picture but can't find my camera attachment to get in on the computer...hopefully I will find it soon!)

Following in My Dad's Shoes...Soccer Shoes!

Noah, Kaden, Adam

Noah has started soccer! He is so very excited not only to play but because he is on a team with 2 of his buddies...Kaden and Adam! I am excited to see if the boys choose to play ball or just play! This Saturday, Aug. 22 is their first game! I am sure it will be very fun to watch!!

Noah and Kade ran into each other and had to give each other hugs...just so you all know...mom's had nothing to do with this!! They love each other so much...it has been so much fun to watch them grow up together and become the best of friends.

A Bittersweet Day

My sister Amy and her husband Phil have decided to take the plunge and move into their own apartment. They have been living with us for the past 8 months. I am very excited for them but at the same time we are going to miss them being here every day! Noah and Cameron(and their mom) are most likely going to go through withdrawls! Good luck guys and have fun in your new cute place!!! Love you!

24th Of July!

I love the 24th of July! It always seems to come and go so quickly! I took the boys to the Bountiful Parade on the 23rd! I love parades and I believe my little one is just like his mom!! Noah had such a fun time fighting all the kids for candy and trying to get sprayed by water guns! When we got home after the parade, Chris and Heather came over for a little firework show! The boys had a ball...if you notice in a couple of the pictures it looks like they are actually on fire...no worries...everyone made it through with no injuries!! Sparklers are crazy...I can't believe we let kids wave around a little stick of fire!! Thanks for coming over so late you guys...it was a lot of fun!On the 24th we went to Sally's for a BBQ. This is something I have done since I was a little girl and love that the tradition has never died!! We have such a fun time getting together with all the neighbors that I grew up with. There are a lot of new faces as new people move into the neighborhood...but we love it still the same! Thank you Sally for keeping the tradition alive!(I know it is not easy!) We love you! Sorry for the heap of pictures...but it has been a busy week!!

Cameron's Blessing Day

What a special day! Sunday, July 27, 2008 we blessed Cameron. It was such a beautiful day with our families around. Ben did a wonderful job and gave Cameron a beautiful blessing. I am so grateful for the Gospel and the power of the priesthood in our lives! I am so blessed with such wonderful people around me! Thank you everyone that came and shared this day with us!! Love you all!!

Crab Cooker Anyone??

Have you ever wanted something so bad you could just taste it?? It is pretty pathetic that I am having this feeling for a resturant! Granted, I am not quite sure if it is the resturant or the fact that the resturant is in New Port!!! I would love a vacation and New Port/Orange County area is one of my favorite places to go! When Ben worked for Delta, we would pack up a day bag and fly out for the day. We would rent a car, drive around, play at the beach, and of course eat at the Crab Cooker...yum! I miss the days of free flights!

Coach Noah

Love this picture...even though Cameron is making a silly face!
Yesterday Noah and I were outside playing a little basketball when Noah realized that mom really isn't that great at making shots. He got the ball after a missed shot by me and said in such a serious manner, "mom, you just need to keep practicing." Then he shot the ball and made it and said, "see mom, that is how you do it"! I almost died laughing. It is amazing what they come up with!!!

I thought this may be fun!!!

1. Add a comment of a memory you have of the two of us together. It doesn't matter if you know me very well or just a little, it can be anything. It can be a recent memory or from way back. Once you leave a comment I will assume you are playing too.
2. Add these instructions to you own post and wait for the memories to start rolling in.

4th of July Fireworks, Parade, Meeting Grandma Sink, and Going Fishing! Boy Have We Been Busy!

We Love Grandma Sink!

At the parade with the Johnson clan

Cameron and Sadie in their 4th of July outfits

Fishing with Dad
It has been a busy couple of weeks here at the Johnson house! My cute Grandma came into town and met Cameron for the first time. I love her so much and she is always so happy to meet a new great grand baby!!! I have always loved the 4th of July. The patriotic songs, a feeling of pride for the USA and those who fight and have fought for our country...it is a great feeling. I also love the parades and the fireworks...can't forget the fun!! Each year since I have been married we have stood in 100 degree weather to watch the Magna Parade (which happens right in the afternoon for some silly reason!) Noah loves it! He gets to hang out with all his Johnson cousins, catch candy and get sprayed by water...what more could you ask for! This year we went to see fireworks with Chris, Dan, and Amy. I was really suprised that Cameron just sat on my lap and watched...I was afraid that the loud noise would bother him. Then, on Saturday up to the mountains we went. We had a great weekend of riding 4-wheelers, roasting dogs on the fire and Noah had his first fishing adventure! He loved it so we may be picking up a new hobby in our home! Summertime is great...I just wish it wasn't so blazing hot!!!

TO THE CABIN TO ESCAPE THE HEAT!

Over the weekend we took the boys up to Ben's family cabin so we didn't have to be in our hot house! Noah asked us over and over "why do we go to the cabin?" We kept telling him it was just to have some fun! By the time we left he was asking "why do we have to go home now?" He is a funny boy and completely in the "why" stage...it is about to drive us crazy!! It was a nice weekend though...we ran into some moose and ate lunch at the river, and pretty much just took it easy for a couple of days! It was great just to have Ben not able to take or make phone calls for 2 whole days!!! Such a treat for us...pathetic I know! I was really bummed though because my camera ran out of batteries and these are all the pictures we got...not very exciting I know!

5 Weeks Already!

Here are some pictures I had taken of Noah and Cameron. Cameron is already 5 weeks old. It is crazy how fast time goes! He is getting so big already. I love my boys so much!

100 Degrees and No Air Conditioner!!!

We are dying of heat here at the Johnson house...why is it that the air conditioner has decided to go out when it really is needed?? We would have been just fine to wait 5 days for someone to come fix it just 2 weeks ago! Here are my poor boys trying to stay cool....wouldn't it be nice to be able to just sport a diaper when it is sooooo hot!!! Lucky boy!
