Fireworks...Parades...Hot Sunny Days...We Love July!

A good long weekend up at the cabin is always a nice getaway. With Ben's schedule it is rare but we do savor the time we have! Beautiful weather and scenery is always welcome!!

We had so much fun throughout the month of July. I am always sad to see it go. We are now on the countdown to the first day of school. Lets hope that we can have quite a few more fun summer days!

I have gone to the Bountiful Parade since I was a little girl. No matter how hot it is outside I still can't pass it up. I guess it is just a little bit of nostalgia, a lot of my mom, and just plain fun...I am a sucker for all things that bring back memories! Good thing my kiddos love it! (Sorry..the pics do leave a lot to be desired!)

Days of 47 Rodeo

Brady and Melinda gave Ben and me some tickets to the rodeo this year that they couldn't use. We took the kiddos and had such a good time. I will tell you though, it was a toss up of which was more entertaining for the kids...the bull riding or the motorcross at the end. Either way, we had a great time as a family! (thanks Amy and Phil for letting us take Tae!) Thanks again Brade and Lyn for thinking of us!
Do you see that cute lady on the row behind us? Cam and Noah sat by them the whole time! they were so cute and explained to the boys everything they were watching. Cam would have gone home with them if it were an option!! Tae was able to come with us...people were probably looking at me and Ben thinking that we needed someone to explain to us what birth control is!!

Look at my cute little cowgirl!

The kids thought it was funny when the cows got out and the cowboys had to rope them in!

This was Cams face during the whole Motocross show! I am thinking we will be buying tickets to the event!

Noah was just happy to be there!! Love this boy and his cheese!

Moving on...

Noah is no longer my "Kindergarten Baby". This makes me a bit sad to know that only a few short months before my big guy is in school all day long. He is so excited and I am excited for him...just not for me! I have to say that a part of me is anxious because lets just face it...going to the store with 1 less child is so much easier! I am not sure I am ready for him to be so old!! He had a great year in Kindergarten and we thank Mrs Jessee for being such a good teacher! Noah will be going to a new school for first grade and has told me that he will miss his friends but is excited to be in school with his new friends from church! We are now on the countdown until the new year begins!!

Crazy Bird

i just got done watching the fireworks from my back porch, the same fireworks that i told my kiddos we would watch together. i attempted to take them to the bountiful carnival after the parade, we got as far as the park and my 3 year old disapeared into the sea of people. my heart stopped and i was in full panic mode. after searching for 20 minutes, i found him with a cute lady who said that he was giving her my phone number so she could call me. i scooped that boy up and after i stopped crying, thanked her and walked away. (letting her think my 3yr old was a genious...because the number he gave her was not mine!!)

what would i have done if i lost my baby?? my heart aches for those moms who are not as lucky as i was tonight. i thank cameron's angel for being close by and letting him find a mommy who was willing to help him find his mommy! as crazy as my days may be...i love my little ones more than anything in this world. and i am thankful they are all home safe with me tonight!
