We just can't seem to get better at our house. Poor Cameron just keeps getting the crud. I feel so bad for him, he is okay during the day but as soon as the sun goes down he gets horrible, fever, cough yucky nose. If anyone has any suggestions on what to do for that midnight cough please let me know! It is always hard for me when they are too little for meds!! (and we all need a good nights sleep...Ben and I are zombies!)

Hey Steph...It's Amy Barton (Tami's cousin) and I swear by Vick's vapor rub...put it on their chest and even elevate their head a little bit...It works wonders for me and for my kids...Also, call your doctor for a prescription cough medicine that's safe for little ones...good luck!
Poor little guy! those nights with sick little ones are not so fun. I used Vick's like crazy also. in about a month, the season is over. hang in there!
love your blog. Your pics are so dang cute.
Where is Shelby and what is her #?
We use a humidifier - it seems to help loosen up the junk inside and soothe the throat and nose. We have one that's almost silent if you want to borrow it!
I feel your pain. Major. Leighton is doing the exact same thing. She wakes up coughing and coughing. We are doing all of the above. Vicks before bed, sleeping in her swing so she's elevated, and humidifier above her. Good luck...
Steph, we got our humidifier at Walmart - it looks like Winnie the Pooh. I have no idea what kind it is, and I cant find a brand on it anywhere. But i think you want a cool mist nebulizer, that's the quiet kind, as opposed to one with a filter. They don't put out as much, but it's enough for a little kids room. Let me know if you find one!
Get a cold mist humidifier/vaporizer, whatever they are called. We have a vicks brand one and it's awesome. They work wonders. I've never tried vicks on a baby, but it sounds like it might work. I've seen vicks vaporizors that you actually put the vaporub stuff in it and then the stuff coming out has the medicine in it. I'm so sorry he's been sick, that's so not fun. Good luck and I hope he gets better.
Oh Steph~ I am so sorry...Wishing Cam to get better fast...and for you guys to get some rest! Agh...I am so sorry...
Rub vicks on his feet and put socks on him when he goes down for the night. It is a long time remedy that I swear works! Also for bumps and bruises put vanilla extract on the area, it wont bruise nearly as bad I promise. With Kaas we swear by the vanilla. Hope he gets over it soon. Love ya!
